Onslow Road

About This Project

Location: In the heart of the highly sought after Hove Park area of Brighton and Hove, this lovely house occupies an area which formally contained an abandoned garage and an area of overgrown garden.

Design: Local architect Jon Turner designed this small detached house to sit comfortably in the plot and alongside its neighbours. The inclusion of a basement storey extended the floor area to a very useful 150 square metres.

The house is super-insulated and features triple glazed windows, solar hot water and a heat recovery ventilation system. It was awarded Code for Sustainable Homes level 4.

Construction: Work commenced in December 2011 and was completed in December 2012, with the new owners moving in three months later.
